Yo Mama! Which Lit mom do you think is the best?

Hey everybody! Today I have a question for you in honor of Mother’s Day.

Which Lit mom do you think is the best mom?

I thought it would be cool to have a question for a bunch of different holidays, so look out for those! (Thanks for the idea, mom!)

SO, comment below and let me know your opinion! For ideas, here are some of mine:

Molly Weasley

Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

If you’ve read Harry Potter, you know why.

Lily Potter

Lily died for Harry, and saved his life because of the power of love. Enough said.

Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza

Mila 2.0

Mila’s mom KIDNAPPED Mila from the military so that she could have a normal life and grow up like a normal teenage  girl. She cares about Mila so much that she goes with Mila on a journey, being chased by the military.

Sally Jackson

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Percy’s mom dies for him, trying to keep him safe. Read the book!

  1. Oh, yes, absolutely Percy’s mom! (Though I’ve only read the first book, but yes, I agree.) I also love Queen Amberly from The Selection and Rachel Morgan from the Gallagher Girls. It’s a shame how many YA books tend to forget about relationships with parents. It’s hard for me to think of many!

  2. Difficult question! Molly Weasley rocks, I love how she can knit and do dishes magically, and is “mom” to everyone. Her sweaters are collector’s items. I also love how she is a fierce tiger-mom protecting her kids and those she loves. Lily made the ultimate sacrifice of love, dying to save Harry, and thus equipping him with the power of love to defeat evil. I also love Ma from Little House, although maybe it is the TV version I remember best. Oh, and the mommy bunny in The Runaway Bunny. 🙂
